We would not have a modern Sacred Heart without the great work of Sister Peter Claver. What an extraordinary person. I am certain she long ago arose to serve God in heaven.

It's named in honor of the Salish-speaking [native] people who historically lived in the region in an environmentally sustainable manner. The name is a Salish word that means a trading place for knowledge, materials, and commercial goods. Commerce was the mainstay of the regional tribes who traded among themselves and with the coastal tribes. It is a LEED gold certified building (minimizing environmental impact and maximizing energy efficiency) and houses the Social Sciences and Business. (Information taken from achitizer.com)

Valuedan, what have YOU been smoking?? This is an upscale store with great selection and helpful staff. Been shopping there for 30 years and never a problem. The 300k to 500k condos sprinkled through the neighborhood do not exactly fit with your "getto" description. What's the matter? Were you kicked out of the parking lot for panhandling? Sour grapes?
