Spokane, Washington

Spokane, traditionally called the Lilac City and Capital of the Inland Empire, is Washington's second largest city with about 200,000 people in the city limits. It has
always been a railroad town and shipping point for many agricultural products from the
area. In the last two decades it has established itself as the Hoopfest capital of the
U.S. and is known for it's annual Bloomsday Run in the spring. Spokane Falls run right through the center of the city making a wonderful backdrop for photos day or night. In the summer the weather is warm to hot making it a tourist destination for sun lovers. Spokane stands to grow even more as Washington's economy grows and opportunities come to the city

We would not have a modern Sacred Heart without the great work of Sister Peter Claver. What an extraordinary person. I am certain she long ago arose to serve God in heaven.
